Who We Are

Iron+Carbon Fitness comes from the idea that we can use weights (Iron) to strengthen our structure (composed of Carbon).

 

 Trainer Alex Cushman, B.S., launched Iron+Carbon Fitness in 2024 to empower people on their fitness journeys. Anybody can get stronger — and everybody deserves to invest in what it takes to support the weight of life. 

Improving all-around strength relieves the ordinary pressures of life that you can feel in your knees, hips, back, shoulders and more. Strength training boosts confidence, creates structure in a busy schedule, build community, and allows your the satisfaction of achieving your goals.

About Alex

Alex’s passion for fitness started from a young age when he realized that fitness impacts all aspects of one’s life and wellbeing.

 

He earned his B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Indianapolis, where he ran cross country and track, earning Academic All-American honors, and has been a Personal Trainer ever since. When Alex is not in the gym or planning fitness programs for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, and can be seen running around town (training for a race or ten).

Alex aspires to offer personal training to all individuals by any means possible, whether it is by virtual appointment, 1:1 coaching, or group training. Foremost, Alex enjoys using his plethora of knowledge, experience, and creativity to help individuals of all ages achieve their fitness goals.
